One morning my sales manager walked into my cubicle with a dictionary in his hand. I was wondering what he was up to. I was thinking that he came by to have a conversation with me because I hadn’t been putting up great sales numbers. He gave me the dictionary and asked me to look up the word prospect. I did. He asked what does it mean? I said to look for gold. He said what word is beneath prospect? I said prospector. He asked what is a prospector? I said a person who looks for gold. He said what word is beneath prospector? I said prosper. He asked what is the definition of prosper? I said to be successful. He said there it is on one page in the dictionary all you need to know about what it takes to be successful. I said what is that and he said “the more you prospect, the more you prosper.” He was right!!
