My sales manager walked through the bullpen one morning chanting “selling is a numbers game and in order to win pick up the phone and dial it again”. I think he did that because he heard crickets that morning instead of the buzz of his sales team prospecting. It was kind of catchy the way he said it “selling is a numbers game and in order to win pick up the phone and dial it again”. I liked it. I began to say it over and over to myself and realized that elements of it were true. That sales is a game. It is a contact sport and that more contact is better than less contact. The more you play the game the better you can get at the game.
