Between the start of my career working at Dale Carnegie at 22 years old and when I moved on to something new at 32 years old, I experienced a lot of rejection. In that ten year time period, I was actually rejected 96% of the time I reached out to someone new, placed a cold call, or tried to set up a meeting. That’s a lot of “No’s.” Regardless of these continual objections, I was still determined to hit my daily call goal. So, I would repeat to myself all day long,”I can do it, I can do it, if I put my mind to it,” until I hit my daily goal.
